For over five decades, Ircon-Solaronics has set the bar for high-performance heating and drying solutions, combining Swedish precision and French innovation. Since 2018, we’ve operated under one brand as the Heating & Drying division of Argynnis Group – a long-term owner dedicated to elevating industrial leaders and advancing industry standards worldwide.
Solaronics is created in Armentières, France (under the name Solaronics-Vanheecke)
IRT (Infrarödtechnik) founded in Holmängen, Sweden, later moving to Vänersborg, Sweden.
Installation of first Solaronics Gas IR dryer in Arjowiggins, Arches (today Ahlstrom-Munksjö)
Installation of first Electrical IR Dryer for Paper Industry by IRT Systems in Arctic Paper, Munkedal, Sweden.
Acquisition of IRT Systems by Valmet.
Ircon Drying Systems AB is founded based in Vänersborg, Sweden.
Solaronics installed the first ever Gas-Infrared furnace to dry MgO slurry for Grain-Oriented Electrical Steel.
20 years after, more than 20 of such furnaces have been sold, Solaronics becoming undoubtly the major reference on the market for this segment.
Installation of first Unidryer (V1) in Burgo Group, Italy. Since then more than 200 UniDryers have been installed worldwide.
Acquisition of Inhab by Ircon. Installation of first Drymaster, in Arctic Paper, Grycksbo, Sweden.
After different ownership changes betwen 1989 and 2000, IRT Systems is acquired by Solaronics – creation of Solaronics IRT.

Ircon joined Argynnis (ex-Binar), Sweden.
Solaronics joined Argynnis (ex-Binar), Sweden.

Solaronics delivered successfully its first Gas-Infrared drying furnace on an ACL for the production of Non-Grain-Oriented Electrical Steel (used for high-efficiency electrical motors)
MagComp joins Ircon-Solaronics in Argynnis group. MagComp is part of Heating & Drying division of Argynnis
