What you’ll do
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll play a central role in the development and delivery of our industrial systems. Your mission is to design innovative, reliable, and efficient mechanical solutions that meet technical, budgetary, and timeline goals. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing mechanical systems and components based on project specifications and technical proposals
- Gathering insights from stakeholders to complete or clarify design requirements
- Exploring and evaluating alternative design concepts based on feasibility, performance, and cost
- Creating and optimizing 3D models and drawings using CAD tools (ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD)
- Presenting solutions and leading technical discussions with both internal teams and clients
- Preparing detailed technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle: layout, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and maintenance
- Coordinating and reviewing work from external partners and subcontractors
- Ensuring designs comply with applicable standards, regulations, and internal guidelines
- Developing calculation tools, work instructions, and design methods
- Providing technical support to purchasing, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance teams
- Assisting with product testing and troubleshooting on-site at customer facilities
- Contributing to continuous improvement by analyzing and documenting lessons learned from past projects
You’ll work across a range of technical fields including sheet metal, welded assemblies, fluid dynamics, and material science.
Who we’re looking for
You’re a mechanical problem solver who thrives on turning complex requirements into smart, functional designs. You’re collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented—with a strong sense of ownership over your work. What you bring:
- A technical degree (BTS/DUT) in Mechanical or Industrial Product Design
- Hands-on experience designing custom-built machinery or industrial systems
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques: sheet metal, welding, thermal systems, etc.
- Proficiency in CAD (ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD) and advanced Excel functions
- Fluency in mechanical drawing interpretation
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English (written and spoken)
- A collaborative mindset—you’re curious, you listen, and you value input from others
- A structured, rigorous approach to engineering challenges
- Some travel may be required in France and internationally.
