The Ircon-Solaronics e-UniDryer™ is the combination of well-known Solaronics UniDryer and Ircon DryMaster. On the market since 2015 for an optimal combination of electrical infrared and floatation drying while supporting the web, it offers a new solution for drying of double-sided coatings after a metering size press.
The technology can also be used for single-side coat drying or other applications.
The convective part of the dryer, built in with state of the art flotation nozzles, handles the mass transfer by blowing hot air coming from the cooling air. Thanks to improved convection of the system, no heat exchanger or external gas burner are required.
The web is supported by the floatation nozzles while the drying is continued with this unique combination of infrared and air drying, throughout the dryer.
